Identity verification is an important step that helps us maintain a safe and trustworthy platform for everyone. It allows us to confirm that accounts are used by real, reliable individuals and helps protect contributors’ earnings by ensuring that only the account holder can access and withdraw funds.
In some cases, verification may also be requested if there are restrictions on an account. This helps us review the situation and determine whether access can be restored.
To make the process simple, we’ve prepared a clear step-by-step guide on how to complete identity verification.
❗Please note that you must complete document verification within 30 days of receiving our invitation. Once you start the verification task, you have 7 days to complete it.
Starting your identity verification with Persona
Persona is a secure identity verification provider that helps us complete this process accurately and in line with personal data protection regulations.
If identity verification is required for your account, you will see a verification task on the Tasks page.
Follow the instructions in the task to complete the steps and confirm your identity.
Once you click the Verify identity button, you will be redirected to the Persona website.
In the first step, select your country of residence.
❗Important: Please choose the country that issued your identity document (ID card, passport, or residence permit).
You will need to upload two photos in total. The first photo should show the front side of your government-issued ID.
❗Important: You cannot upload photos from your device. During verification, you must take a clear photo of your original document using your camera.
You will be asked to photograph both the front and back sides of the document.
Please do not take photos of a screen, device, or photocopies, and do not use scanned versions of your document. This may cause verification issues and lead to an unsuccessful attempt.
At this step, you have two options:
Take a new photo using your device (make sure camera access is enabled).
Continue the verification process on another device.
You can switch to another device if it is more convenient to take photos using your mobile phone. Using a phone camera is recommended, as it usually provides better image quality than a webcam.
If you choose Continue on another device, scan the QR code with your phone camera. Persona will send you a secure link to continue verification via SMS or email.
Once you take a photo of the front of your document, you can review it before choosing to continue or retake the photo.
The second photo should clearly show the back side of your document.
That’s it! After you upload both photos, please allow some time for them to be processed.
❗Important: If there are any issues with your document (for example, if it is expired), you will be notified and asked to upload a valid one.
When taking photo of both sides of your document, you can check out the Capture Tips to ensure your photos are clear and pass the verification successfully.
The next step is biometric verification. Position yourself in the center of the frame, look directly into the camera, and gently move your head from side to side.
You can still switch devices at this stage if needed.

How long does it take for my verification to be checked?
If you have completed document verification and your status hasn't updated yet, please wait. Some verifications require manual review, which may take a couple of days.
I have completed the document verification but still receive notifications to complete it.
This can happen when your status hasn't synced yet due to manual review, which may take a few days. Until the process is complete, you may continue to receive notifications — this is expected. No action is needed.
When I open my verification task, I see the error “Attempts limit reached”
This means you either did not complete the task within 30 days of receiving our invitation, or you started the task but did not complete it within 7 days. Please contact our support team via chat for help.
Why was my account flagged as suspicious?
Our systems may flag an account for additional checks. If you see this notification, please check your account for a pending document verification task and complete it — this will help us resolve the flag.
